Students who enter the Alternate Future Problem Solving Competition will be placed randomly on teams with other alternate students from around the state.

Schools can enter as many students as desired.

The Alternate Competition takes place the same time as the Middle Grades, High School, and Junior Team FPS Competition.

Teams will have 2 hours to complete a team booklet on the state topic. The booklet will consist of:

• 8 Challenges
• 1 Underlying Problem
• 8 Solutions
• 5 Criteria
• 1 Grid
• 1 Action Plan
