KAAC’s outreach program is designed to help struggling academic teams receive emergency aid after natural disasters, establish new programs, purchase equipment or supplies, pay competition dues, or conference registrations.
The KAAC Outreach Selection Committee will review all applications received and make recommendation for awards.

All schools and/or districts can apply for aid each year regardless of previous awards or applications. Grants are awarded to KAAC member schools only. Schools join KAAC by participating in one of KAAC’s events.

Process
Schools or School Districts could apply for aid in any category. Criteria for each category are laid out below. Schools or School Districts will fill out an application requesting aid. Applications for each school year will open on July 1st.
KAAC Aid Criteria Matrix
Category A
For schools or school districts that are affected by fire, natural disaster, or other extenuating circumstances.
These awards can be used for: Equipment, supplies, registrations, and/or dues for league, or KAAC. We will also give the school 2 years’ worth of Quick Recall and Content Assessment questions; District, Region, & State, at their grade level if awarded.
Category A awards do not require a matching commitment from the school/district; the maximum award is $750.
Category B
To help schools or school districts establish new KAAC programs or grow existing programs.
Money can be used for equipment, supplies, conference registrations, and/or dues for leagues or KAAC.
The requesting school or district can be awarded up to $500 with no match commitment. If the school or district does offer to match $250, the school may be granted an additional $250. Making their potential total $1000.
