The FPS Cohort contains a free future scene on the district topic of Space Exploration as well as video lessons and presentations that break down each step of the Future Problem Solving Process for coaches and students. Below is an overview of what is contained in each lesson:

WK 1 – Space Exploration Research

  10. How to leverage figurative language to advance your argument.
  11. How to develop a Challenge List

  13. Brainstorming challenge ideas using the future scene.

WK 3 – Challenges

  1. How to use the What, Why, and Tie to the future scene to develop an effective challenge.
  2. A beginner challenge template for students who are just beginning the process
  3. A beginner+ challenge template for students who are ready to take the next step in challenge order.
  4. An intermediate challenge template for students who have an understanding of the process and are ready to add in a logical connection.
  5. An advanced challenge template for students who understand the process, have clear writing, can effectively add logical connections, and are looking to add in layers of research and insight.
  6. An expert challenge template for students who understand the process, have clear writing, understand research, insight, and logical connections, and are ready to insert a pathos rhetorical strategy to advance their argument.
  7. Students will see examples of each template filled out.
  8. Students will view the creation of a challenge using each template in real time.
  9. Students will be asked to demonstrate understanding by developing their own challenge using the templates that matches their readiness levels.

WK 4 – Underlying Problem
