Who can participate?

JV Challenge is for 9th and 10th grade students only. Students must be enrolled in the school for which they compete.

What events make up the competition?

Multiple choice assessments in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Arts and Humanities; Quick Recall; and Composition

Can students do both JV Challenge and Governor’s Cup?

Absolutely! One of the goals of JV Challenge is to identify 9th or 10th grade students who might contribute to your Governor’s Cup team.

Who do we play?

Once the registration deadline passes, teams are grouped into Sections of no more than 8 teams each based on geography.

Where do we play?

Volunteer host schools are solicited first; if no one volunteers in a Section, a host is assigned by KAAC.

What is the fee?

$100.
